Best Receiver around 200, problem with current Yamaha reciever?

the reason i want a new receiver is because i believe my current new receiver, the Yamaha RX-V361, is damaging my speakers!!, because with my HD-DVR from Time Warner, when i fast forward alot of the time my speakers get a LOUUUD SPARK ......

Neither BB or CC personel had good stuff to say about the Hitachi but online user reviews on both sets have all been positive overall. my setup would be upconvert zenith dvd, receiver, sci atl dvr, xbmc all fee...

I've got a Yamaha RX-V457 Receiver and was just wondering, would it work well with the following speaker combo or would i need to get a new receiver. 2 x Polk Audio TC-80i ceiling front speakers 1 x Polk Audio Csi-A4 center speaker ......
